🏙 5 Secret Steps for Building the Kobe Metaverse: A Creative Journey

Welcome to the heart of the KOBE Diorama Adventure.
Many players ask how a project of this scale begins.
Building the Kobe Metaverse was not a task of following maps or blueprints.
Instead, it was an emotional journey of translating "Small Impressions" into a digital 3x3 grid.
Today, I want to share the chronological steps of how this world was born from a single block of water.
🌊 Step 1: The Blue Foundation and the Scent of the Sea
When I first opened the editor in The Sandbox, I didn't start with buildings.
The very first block I placed was water.
Kobe is a city defined by the sea.
I began by sketching the blue lines of Port Island, Harborland, and the nostalgic blue of Suma Beach.
This water is the spiritual anchor of our "Architecture of Silence."
By establishing the coastline first, I set the pacing for the entire Kobe art project.
As detailed in our Suma Beach Guide, the water represents a gateway.
Starting with water allowed me to feel the "Quiet Rhythm" of the harbor before any steel was raised.
This was a ritual to respect the city's maritime identity.
🛫 Step 2: The Gateway at Kobe Airport
In the early days of Building the Kobe Metaverse, I believed the journey should start at the entrance to the city.
I placed the initial spawn point at Kobe Airport.
This island serves as the literal threshold where travelers meet the mountain breeze.
While we have since moved the start point to improve the First Impression, the airport remains a vital piece of our geography.
This logic connects the urban hub to the open sky.
In this Kobe guide, we emphasize that the metaverse allows for a vertical flow of memory.
Even as the start coordinates changed, the structure of the airport anchors the south of our diorama.
It reminds us that every adventure in kodiad is an arrival into a new sanctuary.
🏘 Step 3: Reconstructing Landmarks from Memory
Once the sea was set, I began filling the city center using the "Scent of Memory."
I didn't look at technical drawings.
I placed the City Hall, Chinatown, and the red Tower based on how they lived in my mind.
Every hotel and museum was positioned to capture the air pressure I feel when walking the real streets.
This process of Building the Kobe Metaverse required fitting a vast city into the 3x3 square grid of The Sandbox.
Real geography is organic, but voxels are rigid.
I visualized how Sannomiya sits in front of the mountains and how Nishi-ku connects to the shore.
By placing shrines as anchors of peace, I created the "Ma" (intentional space) that defines our unique Kobe metaverse.
🏔 Step 4: The Vertical Ascent to Mt. Rokko and Arima
The next phase focused on the "Vertical Rhythm" of the mountain range.
I wanted the climb to Mt. Rokko to feel like a true trial.
The paths are long, mirroring the physical exhaustion and rewarding achievement of reaching the summit.
At the top, you find the pastoral peace of the pasture, as seen in our Rokko Art feature.
To make the world deeper, I hid Arima Onsen as a secret sanctuary.
In Building the Kobe Metaverse, I designed the northern woods to be dense and mysterious.
The contrast between the urban noise below and the forest silence above is the core of kodiad.
This ensures that the rewards of the peaks feel earned through sensory observation.
🐺 Step 5: Fictional Trials in the Wild Suburbs
In this part of Building the Kobe Metaverse, I made a specific artistic choice.
In reality, Nishi-ku and Kita-ku are very peaceful residential areas.
However, for the sake of gameplay, I reimagined them as high-tension zones occupied by monsters.
I want to emphasize that this is a fictional metaverse interpretation.
I imagined wolves and barbarians guarding the hidden paths of the north.
This fantasy layer adds a "Trial of Resolve" to our project.
As explained in our Kita-ku Mystery article, these threats are the "noise" you must clear to reach peace.
This contrast allows us to explore the "Architecture of Silence" in a world where danger and memory coexist.
🎮 Final Logic: Quests and Discovery
The final step in Building the Kobe Metaverse was adding the inner life of the world.
I designed non-linear paths, hidden shortcuts, and non-player characters (NPCs) to guide you.
Every area has its own logic and flow.
I intentionally left many secrets for you to discover yourself rather than creating a simple one-way route.
Once the quests were woven into the grid, the diorama became alive.
From the Character Introduction to the final boss, every element serves the "Architecture of Silence."
We invite you to find your own path through this digital reconstruction.
Step beyond the screen and join the KOBE Diorama Adventure on the blockchain.
