🏙 KOBE Guide: Mt. Rokko Observatory — The Vertical Rhythm of the City

🌊 Overview

Located at the summit of Mt. Rokko, the Mt. Rokko Observatory (Tenran Observatory) offers a breathtaking view that captures the very essence of Kobe.
It is the best spot to see how the city is tightly tucked between the deep green mountains and the vast blue sea.

🔭 The Perspective of "Distance"

What strikes me most from this height is the "distance".
In Kobe, the forest feels close to the skyscrapers, and the scent of the tide reaches the slopes.
It isn't just a landscape; it’s a rhythm. A quiet, vertical flow of life that moves from the peaks down to the harbor.

🎮 Connecting to "kodiad"

For my project, KOBE Diorama Adventure (kodiad), this view is the true "starting point".

To understand the world I am building in The Sandbox, you must first see this vertical layout.
I don't just place blocks; I try to recreate this feeling of being "embraced" by both nature and the city.
This observatory is where the "blueprint" of my diorama world begins.

🚶 How to Visit

If you want to feel the "quiet rhythm" of Kobe in person, here is how you can reach this viewpoint:

  • From Sannomiya Station: Take the Kobe City Bus (Route 16) to "Rokko Cable Shita" station.
  • Rokko Cable Car: Take the historic cable car up the mountain. The observatory is right next to the top station.
  • Tip: The view is beautiful during the day, but the "10 million dollar night view" from here is also world-famous.
